connect3D Radeon X800GTO
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814142052

i have a antec 350w power supply that came with my case

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129148

someone said in another thread that PSU with that case has 21A on the +12V line, dont know what that means exactly but i think thats a good thing lol

i just wanted to make sure my power supply can handle that card but im also debating whether to buy this video card

POWERCOLOR Radeon X800GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814131420

Performance is not an issue , im more worried about my power supply being able to handle it and being compatible....My motherboard dosent do well with nvidia cards, i had all kinds of problems with 6600gt's .....

the X800GTO seems great but, if it requires an pci adapter im thinking they have that cause the card needs alot of power, also im worried that they'll screw up and not include that adapter.

x800gt dosent require a pci adapter which is one of the things i like about it , but them im worried that the motherboard wont deliver enouph power to it, plus the reviews i read warent that great compared to the gto.....

I just dont want any more problems lol

That is cutting it close i always prefer to have over 400watts. But 21a on the 12v is pretty decent. I have heard horrible things about powercolor so i would do some research on the exact model of card you buy. I always buy nvidia so i cant really help you much there.

It also depends on how much other stuff you have in your pc.

I had problems when i installed my 6800 while running antec 350watt. I had 2 hard drives before and even after removing one it would still give me problems once an awhile. I installed a 400w fortron and its running fine. Im also running my watercooling pump on the psu.

You could be fine but it wouldn't hurt to put in a 400-450W. I would also recommend not to get Powercolor but a different brand. Most brands are good but I would stay away from Powercolor, PNY and Connect3D.

I decided to go with a msi Radeon X800 128 mb, all the reviews i read were great, someone in the reviews mentioned using the same motherboard as me and claimed it works fine with this vid card, sais it recomends a 350w power supply and up which i do have, didnt say minimum 350 , said recomeds so i think i should be good

I heard its as fast as the 6600gt.....the 6600gt has higher clock speed but the x800 has more pipelines so it should even out.

Dosent need a a pci power connector.....

here she is

I know some people are gonna say i should of went with a gto , or gt , but i was afraid they would require more power and was worried about compatibility problems.

and did i mention this card cost 109$ after rebates

I just want to play aoe3 on the highest setting and cod2 , and also would like to try out a few other games just to see what their all about but nothing major

Also if end up needing to upgrade my psu , it will be within my budget, and if i dont have to i can always use some more ram
