I am ordering a large shipment from overseas, and I was told that payment must be T/T. Anybody know what this is?

TT = Telegraphic Transfer or in American speak, an international wire transfer.

If/when you send a wire transfer make sure to get the following information:
BBK (beneficiary bank)
BBK SWIFT/BIC code (8 or 11 digits)
BBK branch name, branch number and branch address
BBK sort code (usually for European banks)

BNF (the recipient of the wire transfer)
BNF account number
BNF address

Ah, thanks. Does this method of payment offer any sort of protection against the unfortunate? How safe/reliable is it? Thanks

Unfortunately trading/auction isn't my area of expertise I'd ask some frequent eBayers on how safe sending an international wire transfer is.

It would help if you could tell us, the USD price, what it is, and which country you're sending it to.
