My heatsink fan died on my motherboard. Im gonna put a new heatsink on w/ arctic silver. What do I use to clean the chipset w/?

**** SCROLL TO MY NEXT POST TO READ**** I dont know what the heck happened

That's the right alcohol. A paper towel should be ok, just make sure there isn't any lint left on the chipset before you reapply the Arctic Silver.

Uhh oh, i changed the heatsink fan for a zalmans + arctic silver. I wiped it w/ alcohol. I plugged everything back in, and the computer wont turn on. Power light on MB is on, but when i hit case button nothing happens at all.

Could i have did something to cause this? IE broke my motherboard? Or is it morelikely that i dont have the power button for the case plugged in correctly to the motherboard.

Any help would be appreciated, my specs are in my signature

what is the cpu fan header? just where the cpu fan is plugged in on the mobo, thats plugged in. Now, i dont have anything plugged into where the chipset fan should be plugged in since im gonna use passive cooling, would that stop it from booting? what should i do
