And moon shots got their name after Wally Moon big hitting OF-1B for the Cardinals and Dodgers.

Yes that's right! But there's more. When the Dodgers moved to L.A. they played their first games in the Coliseum, which was only 247' down the left field line. A fence was added to get some height on there, but Moon developed a swing to hit high shots over it.
The great Brooklyn/LA Dodger Outfielder Duke Snider threw his Arm out trying to throw a ball over that same fence on a bet amd missed a good portion of that season.

<Johnny Carson> I did not know that! </JC>

Bonds != God
Exactly, he used to be a Gold Glover and menace on the basepaths (he's still relatively fast) but his defense is heading to mediocre.

Still, probably statistically the best player of his generation (until ARod completes another 7 seasons or so). IMO his playoffs record dilutes much of the numbers though. Until last year's run, Bonds was anti-clutch.
