Since I'm over in Colorado and there's obviously no Giant games on, so I bought this mlb.tv thing and the $15-$20 was worth it alone for the Giants game tonight.

After that six game losing streak (ouch) and the illness of his pops....to hit that moonshot into the Cove....how awesome.

Go Giants!

I heard Bobby Bonds was in the stands (in a wheelchair :( ) watching the game tonight. It adds to the dramatic factor :)

barry bonds is HANDS down the MVP.

some people want to put Sheff in the mix and his numbers are very good, but NO ONE and i mean NO ONE sees the pitches as well as Barry Bonds.

He must not get more than 3 hittable pitches a game and he usually hits one of them out.

He's FLAT OUT amazing as a hitter.

speaking of BB, anyone know the name of the Oakland pitcher who throws sidearm so low he practically grazes the mound with his release ?

There is no doubt that Barry is the GIANTS MVP, but Puljos is the MVP of the NL.

And moon shots got their name after Wally Moon big hitting OF-1B for the Cardinals and Dodgers.

Yes that's right! But there's more. When the Dodgers moved to L.A. they played their first games in the Coliseum, which was only 247' down the left field line. A fence was added to get some height on there, but Moon developed a swing to hit high shots over it.

The great Brooklyn/LA Dodger Outfielder Duke Snider threw his Arm out trying to throw a ball over that same fence on a bet amd missed a good portion of that season.

pffft. good, but not the best.
Who's better?

Griffey junior for about 10 yrs. :)

btw, Don't jump on me, overall i think barry bonds is the best player i've ever seen.

but that's like asking who is better than Roger Clemens, Well Pedro Martinez AT HIS BEST is better but for a career, there is NO question that the Rocket is the best pitcher of his time.
