EDIT: *FIXED* Seti Queue Help

I want to set up seti queue on an extra machine, which has internet access through a proxy (I have DirecPC & share through a proxy.). Is there a way to get seti queue to connect to orang kid's through the proxy?

TIA, micron

when you download q, you'll find a drop down from Settings that says Queue Server, go into that, set it to WinSockProxy, and orangekid.teamanandtech.com port 5001 🙂

Unfortunately, you must have a direct connection through an open port to the internet for SETI Queue. It doesn't have the ability to "pass-thru" a firewall or proxy, like the DNet client and pproxy can do...

PS What kind of "proxy" do you have? Is it basically a hardware NAT solution that maps the outside DirecPC IP address to internal IP addresses of your machines? Or is it more like a full proxy that you need to type in a proxy address in IE or Netscape for?

SETIQ should connect fine through ICS and a router since both of them use NAT and to the computer it looks like it has direct access.

I installed seti queue on my main machine with the direct DirecPC connection and it works great. Seti Queue is awesome!
