Ouch... that doesn't look too good for DSLR. Looks like a lot more than 1,487 WU's also. 🙁

Good for us in the race, though.
 
Bandai lost the majority of his work herd, and another big hitter STONE may have left, or at least hasn't dumped in a few days. 🙁
 
SetiTeam shows two "Gone" with ~9500 WU's, including Stone.

I wonder if this might not demonstrate another flaw in the way we're keeping stats for the race. There should be a "reverse handicap" adjustment for an event like this so that DSLR can keep whatever WU's were produced sinced the race started by someone who leaves. This is just fair, and the flip side of taking out preexisting WU's of someone who joins the team during the race.

Would the stats be available to make this kind of adjustment? For example, do we know what Stone had at the start of the race? Actually, it looks to me like the WU's produced by the two users who've left must have all, or almost all, been produced since the race started. If we know that, I think they should be added back as a "reverse handicap" adjustment to keep the totals indicative of what each team has produced since the race started. It is bad enough for DSLR to lose a heavy producer like Stone (if that proves to be the case; not even DSLR seems to know what is going on), but not fair at all for them to lose the WU's he produced during the race.

There was an adjustment of around 4000 for Stone, but any WU's produced During the RACE were removed per the rules. They were'nt punished for PRE-existing WU's, however they were punished for the WU's that Stone produced during the race 🙁

Well 'neer, if those are the rules. (I read them, but didn't memorize them!) In retrospect, I'd rather those weren't the rules, because I think the race should reflect all WU's produced since the race started whether a member leaves or not. I just think it is the fair "flip side" of not counting preexisting WU's of new members.

Consider this scenario. A user leaves DSLR and joins TA (or vice versa). Any WU's they produced since the race started end up being lost completely, and are not counted for either team. In the end, we don't have a true and complete count of WU's produced since the race started, by either team.

But rules are rules.

I agree that it does seem unfair though 🙁 Those WU's were produced during the RACE and since Stone left, they went with him....DSLR had no control over this...as we don't over any of the TeAm members! 🙁

Hopefully, they will Rally instead of falling.....Almost 6 weeks left in the Race...anything can happen in 6 weeks!

Press on and look forward to HWFrance....while pushing DSLR farther behind us! 🙂
