Right click your sound icon in the system tray then choose volume control options.

Some new speaker sound cards have their own apps to control the sound system like maybe: Realtex HD audio Manager or Sound Blaster Z

What you could do is attach your walkman to the speaker wires this way you for sure sound is going out to them.

If when using walkman or cd player and no sound then you could either have a bad woofer or bad wires OR! just wrong wiring issue that need to be sorted out.

If after you confirmed its not a wiring issue or fixed wires that went bad then you can now go back and make sure you disable any other sound software and keep just your OEM software active.

In your software options for the time being just set them to desktop 2 speaker system and not 5.1 or 7.1 surround system.
Your picture also shows CENTER BASS not being used. I suspect wiring issue.

Hello Raskolnikov, Since this is a 2.1 system and the satellites are working, we know the amp is working. Since it is 2-channel, Windows should operate the speakers with standard speaker settings.

Here is one thing to check:
Control Panel, Sound:
- Make sure your Realtek card is selected as default here.
- With it selected, go to properties and make sure it is set to strereo.

Other than that, possibly use the remote to make sure the bass isn't at -6 or something else really low.
