I just ordered a set, but I am wondering if anyone has a set of them. I have read some good reviews, but wondering if I should have paid a bit more and got the Logitech Z-2300's as they are rated for 200 watts and the Edifier's are rated for 72.

Prime use will be listening to music. The window to cancel these before shipping will be small.

logitech and other cheap speaker ratings are to be taken with a grain of salt. dans of dansdata tore one down a while back, the drivers are rated far below what the amp claims to put out:p

Also, depending on what kind of music you listen to, you may consider 2.0 monitors instead of 2.1 "multimedia" speakers.

For example, the Swan d1080mkii are very good speakers that are roughly in the same price range as the z2300

I looked at the Swans, but the shipping to here was high as they don't seem to have a Canadian distributor. That is how I found the Edifier set, someone compared the overall quality to them so I went with them.

I am just waiting for them to arrive now. I grabbed the $5.99 flat rate shipping deal so it will take a couple more days!hehe

OK they blow my old Yamaha set out of the water. Great sounding set. They can crank also.
