I see this on the Food Network a lot more recently. Mostly on deserts. I guess its for really rich people.
Anyone ever try it?

I don't know about you, but it doesn't sound very appetizing.

yes... it can come in powder form or in sheets of thin foil.
The lady that baked our wedding cake was a fabulous chocolate maker who used it on some of her creations. when i would go there to talk about the cake, she let me sample some of the truffles she had with gold on them! :D

Anyone remember those edible little metallic-looking balls they used to put on cakes? The ones that looked like BBs? Yah, I bet this stuff tastes as good as those did. :thumbsdown:

I hated those things. Just about break your teeth on 'em if you tried to bite them. :(
