I have updated my bios with 011016.rom and everything works fine. What bothers me is that bios doesn't detect my 40GB IBM harddisk properly. It sees only 32GB or something near. I both the hard and used it with one old MB wich didn't support larger disks, but i toudgt that with this new board and BIOS it would detect it properly. What should I ?

Thats weird. I have the WD 40GB Hard Drive and it works fine. IBM! IBM! I don't really like IBM's Hard Drives. Western Digital all the way! Oh... your problem.... uhh. Reformat! Or reflash the BIOS.

Isn't there a jumper on the back which is used for AC (Alternate capacity). If this is wrongly set it will do exactly what you said. This jumper is used to allow compatibility with older bios revisions.

Read this for a quantum:

AC details

Go search for the jumper config for your hard drive.

Deanodarlo is 100% correct. I saw this exact same "problem" listed once before and it was "solved" by setting the jumper for the increased capacity. You should have no problem.
