ECS Sandy Bridge Mother board

Go for it.

I've owned 3 ECS boards over the years and loved them. Wouldn't hesitate at all.

I generally buy MSI motherboards though.

ECS was bad when i last used them 8-12 years ago, pure crap. However i have herd they turned it around and now produce good boards, the price and features look good so i would go for it.

I've had terrible luck with ECS boards over the years. (Last one was for socket 478 so YMMV.)
It's highly unlikely that I'll ever buy another of their products.

Humm mixed opinion on this. I checked and I cannot find one review for the ECS P67H2-A3 LGA 1155 Intel P67. There is though a lot of reviews for its P67H2-A which is under their "Black Extreme" line which is geared to enthusiasts. Here is a review: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/ECS-P67H2-A-Motherboard/1132/1

They both use a Hydra chip for mix match video cards if one so desires. (Performance hit though SLI/Cross fire better.)

I think I will get one Radeon HD 6950 and be done with it for 3-5 years.

all my boards are ecs and i have no problems with them at all. they had some bad boards in the socket A years, but thats nearly 10 years ago.

i mean i've had friends have serious problems with the sandy bridge asus boards, which are very expensive, so i dont think ECS is any worse than anyone at this point. their stuff is just no frills, but they are much less expensive.

i always get ECS or biostar etc since well, i'm not an overclocker much and i'd rather just have the money to blow on more ram / ssd s etc.

The problem is people who usually buy ECS do so because it is cheap so they also cheap out on RAM and power supply also, which is the real cause of their problems usually.

I've used ECS (and PC Chips) plenty over the years without issue.

I've used ECS before. Had more problems with Asus then them.

I think a lot of their problems also are they were cheap so first timmers bought them and did not know what they were doing.
