Here is the deal. I have the ECS P4S5A/DX and it runs smooth. But I wanted to try changing some of the bios settings like CPU FSB/MEM frequency. I change from 100Mhz to 133Mhz (the only two options in this wack bios) and save settings and reboot and the system still posts at 100X20 2.0Ghz.
So I go back into the bios to see if my changes didn't stick or something like that and sure enough they are still there. 133/133. I know that if the overclock was to high then the system won't post or will give some error. But I'm not getting anything like that. The system just boots like bios is set to 100Mhz.
Anybody have suggestions? Also I wanted to know if anybody has seen any Overclocking (O/C) bios out for this board? I've seen an O/C bios for the ECS K7... but not this one. Any info would be nice to have.
Just tell me who I need to pay to get it... 🙂 Or were I can read up on how to write my own.
