ECS P4M800 Pro

So over the weekend I bought the ecs p4m800 pro combo with C2D e6300. After finally putting it together, I found out it won't boot with my BFG Geforce 6800. Anyone have this problem and possibly find a solution for it? Any suggestions would be great, searched on another forum and someone had the problem with his geforce 7600... would hate to have to take this apart and take it back. Thanks in advance.

Check the position of the cmos jumper. Also, do a bare post outside of the case, with just the onboard video, one stick of memory, and cpu/heatsink, and see if you get any beeps. Could be the memory or a power supply connection.

I am able to boot with the onboard video so i do have it narrowed down to the video card. What are you referring to on the cmos jumper?

I've bought two of the Fry's combos. I have a GF6800 in one of them that works fine. But.. I did have a problem for a little while, but it seemed to be corrected by reseating the video card. If neccessary, try reseating the video card until it works. Also, make sure your bios is set to AGP. If you havn't booted at all, try using a pci vid card to boot to bios, and set AGP.

BTW - Both of my boards have been very good, stable, basic boards. They do not overclock well for the little you can get. I was able to OC to 300 FSB fine, but lost my operating system on the next boot up. (Why??? I don't know)
