i was wondering what this bord (ECS NFORCE4-A939) can be OC to.? i am trying to decide between this

or

CHAINTECH VNF4/Ultra Socket

if i was only planing on OC about 10% would ECS NFORCE4-A939 be just fine for my needs i trying to cut the fat and still get my Sata 2 and Nforce4 with out paying much.... if
i knew more about ECS NFORCE4-A939 as compard to CHAINTECH VNF4/Ultra Socket i could make my Decition Btw diffrence in price is about 10 dollars.. Newegg.com

There is no warranty in overclocking - it depends on your individual components' headroom. All that can be said is what dials and tweaks the board has to offer - but whether that's any use for your combination of stuff, well, no-one will know except you.

Max is 250FSB, but the voltage options are actually pretty good for an ECS. I have the 754 version and it is rock solid at 250FSB.

the VNF4Ultra is stable as hell, very easy and stable overclocker

mine will do almost 350FSB (yeah, seriously) and I've had my 3200+ Winnie up to 2.6+

a couple guys on PCPer have taken A64s over 3.0ghz with watercooling and the VNF4Ultra


it does lack some of the extras in bios for OCing like extra memory dividers, tons of Vcore settins, etc.
