ECS NFORCE3-A Ethernet controller?

I recently got in on the Frys deal with a Sempron3100+ and the ecs nforce3-a motherboard; system boots and runs fine at 2.25ghz, so I got what I wanted.

Except.

I can't figure out the NIC install.

I used the CD, but that didn't work.

I went to the ECS site and download REALTEK 8139 drivers; those don't work.

I don't know if the board has an nvidia-based-NIC or the realtek.

Right now, I have "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller" in my DM, but it's not working (yellowed out.)

I tried throwing an old 3COM Ehterlink card in, and it installed fine, but I can't get out onto the net with it.

Suggestions?

The path of least resistance is to wipe the HDD and clean install Windows. Go to the ECS hot deal forum and follow my directions.

1. Download the AUDIO driver from the ECS website and reboot PC.
2. Install the NF3 drivers from the Nvidia website. Ignore the prompt about DirectX9 if it shows up. DO NOT load the AUDIO, IDE, and firewall drivers.
