I am having some problems with installing my case and my mobo. The ports on the motherboard does not match the plates on the back of the case. The mobo did come with another plate to install. The problem is trying to pop the back plate out on the case to replace the plate that comes with the mobo. How do you take it out and how do you install the new ones?

Thanks, cowtipper

Usually the plate pops out thru the back. Some are fastened with screws. It should be obvious how the new one snaps in - can be only one way for the holes to line up.

More expensive cases will have a similar pop out bracket installed to what came with your motherboard, ECS have started changing the arrangements of the rear ports, notably the location of the LAN and USB, other companies have too....

Cheaper cases have a fixed plate, but this can be removed with a bit of banging and twisting, you may want to file down the snapped off metal bits once finished.
