By the way, Ateck Computers has this as well... and it mentions it comes with a 6-in-1 card reader too... same price as Newegg... shipped fedex..

1394, 6 USB 2.0, 6.1 channel sound, all for $66? Very nice! This mobo will likely go in my fiance's PC since I have nForce2 in mine. Her favorite color's purple anyway.
It looks to have great overclocking options in it now, as well! Lock PCI/AGP, FSB and Multiplier incriments, vcore, the works.

If you click the link at NewEgg for "See it" and view the photos, there is a strange box looking device in the 3rd picture that I have a sneaky suspiocions i the 6-in-1 card reader. If anyone is going to order, i would call NewEgg and confirm that it is included there as well.
I'd buy this if it had PC133 support. I have a 512MB and 256MB chip in my current system, and another 256MB stick floating around my computer desk. I just can't see tossing it to the side and buying DDR when the existing RAM works so well. I'll upgrade to a board that supports both, and then replace the RAM later.

ok...first thing...none of u see a prob with the cpu slot?...
right in front of it is a huge and tall capacitor. i'm thinking it'll
have probs with a lot of heatsink/fan combos out there...and right behind it are
again those capacitors...almost 5mm away...that's way close...
and then did u see that funky vertical battery holder behind the last pci slot?...did that to save space i guess
real tiny board...i'd stay away until more word about that funk setup in reviews..

should be of no problem.
and I read the reader is very bad (may work with ECS only).
The Newegg picture do not show the IEEE connector (would have benn next to the LAN, on top of the USBs)

what are the different between L7S7A2 and L7S7A? both are sis746.
BTW, SPDIF is onboard, need only connector
Some comments in response to the comments so far...
1. it should support 1ghz athlon and the latest processors too
2. apparently the boards offered at ateck and newegg both have onboard lan, based on the pics... i don't believe they've ever
included onboard lan port yet no support enabled before.. so if the jack is there it should be supported...
3. i've heard the same about the ecs 6-in-1 card reader.. that it's not that great.. but considering it's bundled with the board, i'm not
gonna complain.. will make xferring files from my pc to cf card to PDA easier and faster.. I wonder though if it is 5.25" or 3.5"
4. hopefully that unusual battery holder won't be a problem..

that battery placement is not a problem.. I have it in one of my mobo right now..

I think I'm going to give this board a shot. I was considering the epox 8RDA+ but I guess I'll go the cheap route this time. I hope I don't regret it.
ECS is cheap, but of good quality. I remember when the K7S5A came out, Tomshardware said it had the best price/performance of any K7 board out.
Looks like 3 1/2 bay to me. The biggest slot you see in the picture is compact flash. If this is a 5 1/4 device, the compact flash card would be about twice as big as they are.
Just received a L7S7A2 from Newegg and the card reader goes in a 3.5 in slot.
Board is pretty nice, but still have to get DDR memory and possibly an Athlon "X" processor? I have a 1.4 gHz T-bird I was hoping to use. The OCWorkbench.com says there is a header near the LAN port for setting multipiler between 5 to 12 but it isn't on my mobo. There are several other differences from OC Worbench mobo, including no header for a pc internal speaker. The speaker is one of those small piezo electrics and it's located in at the circle in lower left-hand corner shown in the review. Also there is no extra fan header near the floppy connector, although the board is marked similar to the small speaker.
I get the impression that this board maybe mass produced for one of the large PC companies, probably with a different bios, so you you couldn't OC. There is a header (9 pins) for four front USB ports and another USB header (4 pins) for the card reader. This is in addition to the four USB ports on the back. There is a small sort of cryptic note telling where the card reader drivers are located on the mainboard CD.
Hopefully I will be able to get it to work with T-bird, as my daughter needs to take it back to college Sunday.

I ordered one from Ateck and I wasn't in for a delivery attempt today... so I should get it tomorrow and will post results about whether it has the multiplier jumper and speaker header when i get it...
Be careful fellas. Notice that it is one of the new spec boards that don't have the mounting holes for the larger HSF using stand-offs. Ok if you use a clip HSF.

personally i don't mind the lack of mounting holes since i don't use that heavy-duty a HSF, but I hope it does have a pc speaker header and multipliers jumper.
