ECS KN1 Extreme - BIOS O/C Question

I've found the KN1 to be extremely stable, on both WinXP-32Pro as well as on WinXP-64.
ClockGen allows me to o/c my Athlon64 3000+ to (245*9) 2.2GHz, with the HyperTransport at x4 (980MHz) and x5 (1225MHz).
However, I am unable to set the clocks higher then 220*9 (1980MHz) in the BIOS itself. Anything higher results in an error on POST, which says the CPU has been reset to default....
I would be fine with using ClockGen to overclock, except that it does not seem to work on WinXP-64 🙁
Any ideas?
TIA!

Hmmm, im not really sure what the problem is, but did u make sure to lock the frequency of the pci slots and what not? (AGP @ 66/67, PCI @ 33, etc etc)

BTW, you might want to move this to the overclocking part of the forum.....if thats possible. Im sure that more people can help u over there 😉 Good luck

I believe the nForce4 mobos have the PCI & PCIe frequencies locked by default.
Also, as mentioned above, I am able to o/c from the OS GUI, using ClockGen.
ECS' official response was -
we do not support Overclocking
BIOS has protecting build in to prevent overclocking

huh??? 🙂
