Fry's has a deal on this motherboard with an amd 3500 (e6). Does anybody have any opinions on this mobo? The 3500 is right at the speed I want for my cpu, so I don't plan on overclocking at all. Right now my biggest concern is how picky it might be with ram. I've tried looking around on the ECS website and they don't have any information out yet about the board. What do y'all think?

The one thing to know is that the "AGP" slot is actually PCI in AGP shape. Above all, that means it takes only those cards that still do 3.3V signalling - 4x/8x-only cards won't work, although they fit.

now why in the WORLD would they do that....who pairs a 3500+ with a Geforce DDR?

You'd just have to try it with your video card. You have 15 days to return it. Keep all your packaging and receipt, and they shouldn't hassle you. I bought a combo deal recently with the 3200 and kv2-lite ecs board, and it works fine with all 4 memory slots filled. They also had a combo deal with the ecs rs480 board (built in pci-e video with the xpress 200 chipset).
