Is this mb any good? I know a lot of ppl have suggested the K7S5a, but with so many problems that i've read about it,
i dont wish to go with that model.

Also, I notice the K7VZA has an onboard sound card. Can this be disable?
 
I've built 3 systems with the ECS K7VZA and 1 system with the ECS K7VZM (microATX version of the K7VZA). I've had no problems at all with any of these systems, and I would recommend them to anyone. And yes, the onboard audio can be disabled.
