It doesn't do multiplier overclocking, but it stays cool and doesn't crash. Even with aggressive memory settings. Performance is good. On board sound with lots of eq tweakings in media player 7, is ok for mp3s, but only in win98 (w2k sound sucks).

What impressed me most, is it plug and play upgraded my win98 (original edition) box that was based on a BX board. My board is v1.1 instead of newer 3.0 as well.

The downside is Via's sensitivity to PCI slot choices. My aureal vortex1 wasn't recognized in pci slot 3(from agp, NIC in slot 2), and caused system lockups with media player in slot 5.

I find this board to be better than the KT7 I also have. Considering its $100 cdn cheaper than newer KT133A boards, it let me upgrade to a 950T-bird for the same cost as a duron 800+ asus mb, and this has higher performance, with no need for tampering with the processor and testing multiple configurations.
