$77 shipped at Newegg.

That's compared to $87 shipped for the Shuttle AK31A board at Newegg.

EDIT: Btw, what happened to the EPOX KT266A boards? They aren't on Newegg's site anymore.

EDIT x 2: Go to newegg.com and search "KT266A" and you'll find this ECS board.

ooh Blue PCB. :p WEll if it performs on par with the Shuttle and Epox board, it's a great deal. Any reviews? BTW, your link doesn't work.

I looked at the pics on newegg and it definately looks purple...I guess it's still better than plain old green....

Actual price (without shipping) is $69! What a price! Extreme price/performance ratio! We'll know reliability later, though...

Bleh, the Shuttle is worth the extra $10 for its extra PCI slot, extra DIMM slot, and overclocking options. I see NO reason to choose the ECS board at all.

The original topic says $77 shipped(meaning $69 for mobo + $8 shipping). I'd still rather pay the extra few dollars for the shuttle board. $10 for much more oc'ing and tweaking options is definately worth it. Plus the Shuttle has 4 ram Dimm slots(3 on ECS) and 6 pci slots(5 on ECS).

I used to have an ECS K7S5A and that had pretty much 0 oc'ing and tweaking options. Right here from the AMDMB review of the ECS mobo:

<< I told you that I would cover the overclocking of the ECS K7VTA3 motherboard here on this page. I am sorry to report that ECS didn?t include any options for overclocking your processor on this particular board. This is a shame because it immediately alienates a large portion of the market they are trying to get into with this particular motherboard. >>

how bout those that don't use 6 pci slots, don't use 4 dimm slots, and don't care for overclocking? bet thats quite a few people.

blue/purple/purplish-blue/bluish-purple is still better than urine and green...

anyway, the 4 dimm slots on the shuttle have compatibility issues w/ mixing dimms, not to mention the stability issues when all banks are populated...i don't see the 4 banks as a feature...especially when memory modules come in so cheap at such large sizes...in fact, to maintain stronger stability, i'd rather there only be 2 banks...nto to mention how much easier this is for mfg'ers

6 pci slots...again, most probably won't use 6 pci slots...especially w/ the myriad of external peripherals on the market (i.e. USB 1.1/2, firewire, etc.)

overclocking via multiplier?...not as big anymore...most would rather just bump the bus...the only thing i can see the shuttle having over the ECS board is voltage tweaks (though i'm not even certain as to whether or not the ECS or shuttle board even have this)...

anwyay, i'd rather save teh $10 and grab the ECS and pick up a mickey and mix for a night of eventful intoxication...
