I have posted this in other threads, but I would like to see other people's memory benchmarks if you have an ECS K7VTA3.
My benchmarks are pretty low, and I am trying to figure out why.

My system:
K7VTA3, AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz
300watt PSU
2 - 256MB Nanya DDR memory sticks
1- 20GB Maxtor 7200rpm
1- 40GB Mattor 7200rpm
Creative GeForce2 GTS
SB Live!
Linksys 10/100Mbit NIC
Cisco Aeronet340 Wireless LAN adapter

Running Win2k Pro, SP2
and latest 4n1 drivers.

Sisoft2001 Benchmarks:

CPU:
Dhrystone ALU 3927 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 1928 MFLOPS

Memory:

Int ALU/RAM 367 MB/s
Float FPU/RAM 450 MB/s

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my 1st AMD system. I have a P3-933 that is faster than the 1.4G Athlon, and that shouldn't be happening.

Thanks..

I saw this posted before so......did you try going into the BIOS under Standard CMOS Setup, then arrow down to and change the HDD(s) to Mode 5/ATA 100. Give this a shot.

I flashed the bios to the newest version, and that helped tremendously.

The new benchmarks are:

Int ALU/RAM 538 MB/s
Float FPU/RAM 691 MB/s

I also noticed while I was flashing the bios that the "Bios voltage" jumper was set to 5v. I set it to the 3.3v setting (default). I never changed that jumper before, so Im not sure how it got set to 5v.
Anyway, that may have been part of the problem too, but I am not sure.

Thanks for the heads-up BadAttitude! :) I run the Seti@Home client for Team Anand Tech on a couple of those boards, and they are slow. Will flash mine tonite.
My Sandra memory bandwidth bench is almost identical to your scores before flashing btw.
