well i have built 2 other systems with this board with no problems but this 3rd one is a real pain.
all 3 have same case but different cpu's, this is the only duron based one.
The problem: Cold boot everything works great. Restart, cdrw not detected in post, it is master on ide-2.
I have checked jumpers and drivers, and everything looks good.
I noticed that the hdd led stays lit constantly during a reboot , but not during a cold startup, like the ide channel hangs.

any ideas appreciated.

Are you using the sis drivers off of the cd or did you run the siside update driver???

I had problems when I tried to update...

If not try the update...If so uninstal and load cd defaults back on...

ah yes. its the ps problem. even if u used the same ps for all three, this psu might not be up to par. i've been having the same problem with my kt133a, and kt133 until i used a diff power supply. it would just show constant hd seek and no boot and nothing on screen. i used to have to keep unplugging it for a while and plugging it back in. i got fed up, having a bunch of psu lying around so i kept switching until each mb found a psu that it liked. fixed the kt133a(epox) by using a deer, and fixed the kt133(gvc) by using another aopen psu.

i use an enermax on my sis735, and never had a hiccup. also used a sparkle on another i built, and antec for the last two. all 300watts (cept enermax 365) 3 running 1.4(sparkle, antec)s and 1 running XP1600(antec). so try diff psu, if u can borrow one from someone or u have one lying around.
