ECS K7S5A? You should run this test!

For those that are not aware, there is a comprehensive FAQ guide by Mr Athlon at OCworkbench detailing the data corruption problems documented on the K7S5A.
Even if your board seems to be OK, you should download and run Memtest86 Link.
I know a lot of you are happy with this board, but I would run this test, if just for peace of mind.
Data corruption problems don't always show up right away!
And yes, I'm a former owner of a K7S5A that failed.

The problems with the ECS K7S5A can be described as the "Blair Witch Paradox".

If you like it, it shows you that great performance can be done cheaply.
If you don't like it, what do you expect for such a low cost?

Ran Memtest on both of mine several times over with no errors!🙂 (wish I could say the same for my kt266a😉) And eagerly awaiting the K7S6A!🙂

I've looped MemTest86 for 48 hours straight on all 3 of my K7S5A's. 100% rock solid. Zero errors.

That said, I've had instances with different mainboards/RAM combinations where MemTest86 passed them, but they failed easily and quickly in Prime95 or the like. So take the results with a grain of salt, and by all means, do not consider MemTest86 "the" stress test.

I have ran it overnight about 4 weeks ago when mrathlon article came to lmy attention...I ran it at the ultra settings I have always ran and no errors...

I have ran the program in the past to test infineon module when I bought them...good program...
