ECS K7S5A + Win2000 Service Packs == bad?

Anyone with this board have any problems after installing any of the service pack releases for Win2k Pro? This board's been rock solid for me so far (onboard temp and fan monitoring software never works, but nonetheless).

I had an issue on 1 of my k7s5a rigs with SP3 where I had to format and resinstall. everything fine with Sp3 after that. 2nd one was a reformat and Install of my fathers rig (unrelated to anything other then him needing it to be cleaned out and reinstalled (win2k that is). His took SP3 no problem. The trouble I had with my 1 rig I would not attribute to the board. It was more of a MS problem, nothing to do with ECS

I'm just hesitant to install any service packs now, because I got a BSOD on windows loading the last two times. My Win2k cd is also pre-SP1, so that sucks.

Aren't these Service Packs cumulative? I installed SP2 over a pre-SP1 Win2000, got corrupt problems with my hdd... then I installed SP3 over Win2000, and had the same problem. However, a fresh install from the CD-ROM of pre-SP1 works just fine. I'd really like to take care of some of the security holes and bells and whistles with the new packs.

Anyone have any ideas?

I thought maybe the hdd was to blame, it's a couple years old now, 30gb Maxtor 7200rpm... it's been through plenty. However, the fresh install of Win2000 from the CD-ROM led me to believe otherwise.
