I received my K7s5a yesterday from newegg and I was using an ABIT kt7a. I was running my XP 1700+ at 140*11 on the KT7a. But now my k7s5a only allows FSB/mem settings of 100/100, 100/133, and 133/133. I've read that there should be a FSB of 138 and 150. What happened to those settings?? I don't see them at all.

I'm using the latest BIOS from ECS...dated 2/2/02.

HELP!!! I want to overclock!!!!!

You need to get a beta bios to allow for FSB Ocing. go to www.ocworkbench.com and you will find one there. I am running one of my rigs @ 138/138 with my XP1700 and ram maxed out!

Ok, I was able to get the settings to work, but I am unable to get my Duron 750 to stay stable. I've decided to keep my XP1700+ on the KT7a b/c of the overclocking options, and the Duron on the K7s5a. I used to OC my Duron from 750 to 840 (7.5 * 112) on my Abit w/o any problems, but it wont stay stable on the ECS board. I have the voltage set at 1.85 (using pencil trick) but it wont stay stable at 112 FSB. One thing I noticed is that my Abit board allowed me to overclock the IO voltage from 3.3 to 3.4. However, the ECS board only lets you use 3.3V.

Is there any way to get mine > 3.3volts?

:)you should be EXTREMELY happy if your system runs stable with an ECS manufacturerd or SIS based motherboard. They are DEFINITELY not for overclocking. There are enough complains about quality issues, so try running more tests to see if it can work AT LEAST.

If you overclock you do not need the ecs k7s5. if you want to over clock and still want the sdram and ddr slots but you have to get a lan.
The shuttle ak32l with kt2676a is the bd. it has the same oc options as the ak31a. saw it for $60 on pricewatch.
