Hi. I have the K7S5A right now and my friend ordered two of the Soyo boards by accident and i was wondering if i would notice any major performance increases if i were to switch the ECS with the Soyo? I also have one of the palamino(sp) 1700+ processors and 512MB of DDR2100 ram. If i do switch it, i also plan on overclocking it a bit.. if I can.
Thanks

As long as you aren't overclocking, there isn't much of a performance increase - the K7S5A wasn't a slow board to begin with. In the area of I/O performance (IDE, onboard sound, anything PCI) you might even end up slower with a VIA chipset based board than with an SiS.

Certainly not worth the hassle of ripping apart a perfectly working system.
