Bought this ECS board because of its inexpensive price but this thing boots so slow. It takes like 3 minutes trying to detect the IDE Devices. I bought and returned another one not because of the booting reason but something else failed and that Drive booted up slow as well. Does anyone else have this problem with the board booting up slow?

This board has built on lan and its not connected to the network yet.

Try disabling the onboard LAN temporarily (in the BIOS) and also disable the Boot-from-LAN option in the BIOS boot menu, and I bet you'll see it perk up. Good luck!

WD harddisk? Mind you, these have THREE jumper states, Master, Slave, and Single. If alone on the cable, and jumpered to Master, drive detection will take ages (waiting for the absent Slave).

My WD when jumpered to Master on the K7S5A took foreeeeever. Switched to factory jumper settings as displayed on drive and now it's just fine.
