Cannot get DDR memory 256mb to work. Is there some kind of physical jumper onboard that I need to use to enable this ? I have set it all up well and working fast. 1.2 ghz oc to 1.4. but using Crucial PC SD RAM. .... settings to Ultra, 6T and 3T. BIOS flashed to 0109 well. Somehow using DDR RAM... I cannot even post.
 
Back the ram timings off to normal for stability and see if that clears up the problem. If that doesn't work, read the FAQ on the K7S5A at OCworkbench, it addresses many issues such as your's.
 
I use Crucial 2100 ECC, ultra timings, cas2, overclocked@147 no problems, rock solid in fact. Sandra mem bandwidth 748, 919. so, I'm certain it takes ECC.
