My old MSI mb gave out. I have 1g duron, w/512 pc133 ram. My original plan was to get something new when the AMD 64s were settled in and not so expensive. But now I have to do something earlier! I was thinking of getting an inexpensive mb....such as the ECS, and hold on to my cpu and ram for awhile longer! Does this make good sense. Newegg has the ECS for $47 and I think free shipping. I could spend a little more....and upgrade my cpu and memory, but will probably triple my cost.....and would still want to upgrade down the road. I have heard mixed reviews on the ECS board. I just need something stable/reliable, I'm not an OC and don't play many games.

Any thoughts.....Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Built a similar system for my friend's parents a year and a half ago using an Enlight 300W PSU>

No problems at all.

it's a reasonable yet cost-effective board. Does not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive boards, but it has worked just fine in every "budget" system I've built.
