I really can't figure out why...the same CD-ROM is picked up right away on any other PC I've tried (not with the same MB though).

For some reason, upon booting, it picks up the Primary Master, Primary Slave, but then holds for about 15 seconds trying to detect the Secondary Master.

Has anybody here ever had this same problem with an ECS board?

Thanks for your help!

What devices are on your other IDE channels?

If you have any Western Digital hardrives you need to be aware they have 2 Master settings. One for Single Drive and another for Master w/ Slave Present. If these are not set correctly then you will have problems.....

Hmmm, that's interesting information, thanks, but I have a Fujitsu HDD.

My Primary IDE channel has one HDD, my Secondary IDE channel has a CD-ROM hooked up to it as a master. That's the one that really takes a long time to pick up. Really weird. It picks up right away on another PC. I'm running Xp as my OS.

Any other ideas?
