this is sickning. when i leave my coputer runing some File sharing ripping software for 1 hour. Then i open a Browser window it opens like elmers glue on a cold day. seriouly .. Like a P133 ... but here is the strange part. when I play around and open some app's and close than a couple of times erverything is fast as hell again.

now does this sound like XP's IDE drivers? or my P.O.S. mobo? My Rig

Funny thing, I was having the exact same problems with my K7S5A until I installed ECS's ide drivers which strangely enough were bundled with the latest K7S5A lan drivers. I didn't do any benchmarking, as I'm not really a benchmark type of person, but the harddrive does seem to bring up windows quicker, if I'm making any sense.

Well anyway, the file name is sisvxd735nt.zip for win2k and xp. Sorry, I'd provide a link but I can't seem to connect to ECS's webpage at the moment. Hope this helps.
