can anyone give me the proper jumper configuration for the pwr sw and reset sw on the k7s5a mb?
I'm just not getting what the manual is trying to convey.

Use the updated manual from www.ecs.com.tw - this has better diagrams. Alternatively, right next to the connectors the pinout is silkscreened to the board (in very fine print).

i'm having similar problems with my Maxtop CSX-147KSF case connectors. Labels on FBI on mb and latest manual are totaly confusing (sorry but this is my first attempt at building a pc). Manual shows 2 different reset switch connectors and nothing for the power switch. waiting to hear back from ECS and Maxtop. 😕

Look next to the pins it says "reset" on the bottom, the power goes on top of the reset

also you can just try a few set up's will you not hurt anything, the power and reset are just shorting across two pins and the LED's will only work if the + and - are set right just play around I build a lot of systems that I don't have any paper work for

LOOK @ THIS

Thanks Amber for the info and the link. That diagram is very clear, not like what's in the manual. Now how do I cut down a 3 wire power LED connector (the middle one is empty) in order to fit it on the 2 pins on the mb? Or can I move one of the wires to the empy middle position? Thanks again! 🙂

An X-Acto knife or wire cutters will do the trick - just cut it in half, and trim off the leftover plastic so that the pins will fit next to one another.

Not really possible - those connectors are pretty much one-shot deals. The wires don't come back out once they're in there.

Sure you can, just lift the little tab and slide out the connector, then reinstall it in the middle position. I've done it numerous times without problems.

Yea, it's easy enough to move the wires out of those connectors, sometimes helps to look at it through a magnifying glass.

Much easier than trying to cut the plastic connector down the middle, neater too.

Thanks for enlightening me, then. That was what a friend of mine who's an electrical engineer told me - of course, an electrical engineer's not an electrician. I never bothered to check it out any further after that...

Also, I was thinking more about the 3 pin fan plugs than the LED connectors when I wrote that. Can you disconnect wires from those, too?

Haven't looked too closely at those, never had a need. I sorta doubt it on those.

Thanks DieHardware! That did the trick. It took a couple of tries but was finally able to move one wire over and everything works! Thanks to all for their help! 😀
