I just build a system using ECS K7S5A mobo and AMD XP1700. My HD is Maxtor 80 GB. Right now the HD is connected on the mobo directly. I have installed the window XP. Everything seems fine. My HD also come with a Ultra ATA/133 PCI Adapter Card. I want to using that card to control my HD. I installed the card first then installed the driver for the card. In window XP device manager I can see the driver(it's a SCISI driver). I then powe off the machine and connect to HD to the ATA/133 PCI card. I restart the machine and change the bios setting to boot from SCISI. However, I got error in boot process states the ATA/133 adapter driver can not be found. As a result I can not boot up my system when I connect the HD to the card. I call the Maxtor Tech support and they send me another card. Same problem. Any idea?
