Get a grip? Oh no. Hey, chill out man. I knew you weren't serious. Did you not see my

? I don't get upset that easily...

I answered your first question: "They are just chip Identification numbers and/or part numbers. I don't have the translations for them but you could go to the AMI site to see if you can find any info: You asked what those numbers meant. I told you. >>
Sorry, I assumed everyone here knew everyone else here knew they were chip ID #'s and/or part #'s, so I assumed the only thing I could possibly want to know is what exactly my numbers meant (which is why I posted my #'s). But we all know what assuming does, right?

Maybe I should have asked for a breakdown. Sorry. When I used to work at a car dealership and people asked me what the VIN# meant, I didn't tell them it ID'd their car. I showed them what each # meant.
<<
<< I was kinda wondering which mobo was newer and if there were any differences in them. Rather than the BIOS software itself. >> Now can you see how silly this last remark is? >>
No, not really. If someone had told me what my #'s meant, it would either told me what I wanted to know, or would not have. Either way, I would have known what I wanted to know, or realised there is no way to know what I wanted to know, from those #'s.
<<
<< Well, I did ask speficially what the #'s on the chips meant, which if anyone explained them, would have probably answered what I was wanting to know. >>
Yeah, if you would have told me what make car you drive then I could have told you what year it was without even seeing it. Same logic. >>
I figured some of those #'s referred to a specific date period or version/stepping, etc (like CPU's) that would have told approximately when they were made. Since the BIOS software version can't really be relied on for that. Again, I first just asked what they meant, hoping to get all the info on them I could, for my own knowledge, and which might have in turn answered the other thing I wanted to know (which BIOS chip was newer). I assumed most everyone knows most everyone else here (except maybe newbies) knows how to tell their BIOS software version #. [/Assuming...]
So, sorry Buz2B. No, we don't all always ask perfect questions. I wasn't bent out of shape. Last thing we need during this time is to be that way towards each other.
