I decided to upgrade my computer, from a 900 tbird to a 1600 xp, and everything went fine. But when I went to start it, it tells me its only running at 1200? So I tried to switch my FSB to 133, and it said the correct speed, but after the boot up screen, it just goes grey until I reset it to 100.

I was going to flash my bios, but all I can find on my mobo is K7S5A release date 11/21/2001, and I am afraid of using the wrong version and frying my computer. Will flashing it help? Or is that just a waste of my time. I appreciate any advice you may have, TIA! :)

I would agree. Flast to the Cheepoman BIOS. It is baxically the same ECS BIOS that has had it's contents unlocked a bit to allow you more options. It is not a completely different BIOS. Get the latest version or ask on the site that was pointed out, just which they recommend. I have used the Cheepoman BIOS in two of the last three builds with that MB. I just don't remember which it was that I used.
BTW, what is your board revision?
