Hi, folks.

I'm looking to swap my old Intel board (440BX chipset) for a newer motherboard. I'm looking to put together a low-end, price conscious system starting with a Duron 1.2GHz that supports SDRAM and DDR-SDRAM, as I'm not looking to purchase new memory now and I'd just like to use my old memory modules. (I am well aware of the huge bottleneck this creates and what not)

Ideally, I'd like to get a motherboad that supports SDRAM, DDR-SDRAM, Duron/Athlon and Athlon XP processors so I'd have the option to upgrade in the future.

Is the AliM1645 the only AMD chipset that supports both SDRAM and DDR-SDRAM? I've been looking at the ECS K7AMA quite a bit and it seems to be perfect for me, but I'm not sure if this supports the Athlon XP... does anyone know?

Thanks for the help!

So an I correct in assuming that this motherboard supports the Duron and the Athlon XP? Are there any other motherboard manufacturers that suppoy a motherboard with SDRAM/DDR-SDRAM support, the full Athlon line, and is a reasonable price? (I know the Asus A7A266-E does but I cannot seem to find this anywhere)

Thank you again!
