The main hardware limitations of USB 2.0, 4-port SATA 3G, and dearth of PCIe slots (esp. > x1) may be inherent to the chipset but still, it is not worth saving a few buckaroos for a general usage system -i.e. this would have to be adequate for a specific purpose.
