I live in a place where there are B&M Fry's stores. They typically run combo deals that feature the ECS Geforce 6100SM-M. I am putting together a new system for my father and was thinking about picking up a combo from Fry's (the motherboard often costs almost $0 in these combos). The new rig will run Windows Vista Ultimate, so I will be installing 2 GB of RAM (I consider 2 GB to be a minimum for anything over Vista Home Basic).
I have 2 GB of OCZ DDR2 6400 (800 MHz) Platinum that I plan on using with the new system. I was wondering if anybody here at AT Forums knows if this memory is compatable with the ECS motherboard. I know some motherboards can be kind of picky about the memory that they use. I have done a search and found no mention of any compatability issues in this forum, but I read in the Newegg customer reviews that there may be an issue with this OCZ memory (from one reviewer).
Thanks.
