In the Hot Deals forum, a Q9300 & ECS G31T-M combo was posted as on sale at Fry's. What I want to know is if I can do the following:

Use G.Skill 4GB [2 x 2GB] DDR2 1000 [PC2 8000] RAM with this MB

Also, since this combo CPU doesn't come with any HSF, I want to use a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler on this MB?

Hopefully there will be another abit IP35 sale soon, for 30 or less! The only problem will be then I will have to buy a PCI-E gfx card!

that ram might not work at ddr2-800 speeds because it is 2.0 volt and overvolted. it probably will though since if its rated 2.0 volts at ddr2-1000 it probably will run 1.8 v at ddr2-800.
 
Thanks, hans007; that is exactly what I am hoping for right now, even if the RAM runs at DDR2 800 with even slower timing, I just don't mind at the moment. Once I can buy a better MB, that can also OC the CPU more, I'm sure the RAM will work without so much to worry about.

Its just that I sure hope that this MB will boot once I put that RAM in; crossing my fingers here.
