Hey, folks, got a real problem. ECS D6VAA mobo with dual P3 933 processors, 1 256 stick of ram, ATI Radeon 9500 video card. I had W2k server on the machine, and after a power outage (okay, beat me, no battery backup. now I have one) the machine will not finish booting. It goes through the post process, checks the onboard raid, lists the PCI devices, and says it is "Building DMI Pool . ". That is where it stops. I unhooked everything but the processors, ram, and a floppy drive, it checks the floppy drive during post, but never goes back to it. Just building DMI Pool

Building the DMI pool is the LAST thing it DID get done. Next it would be attempting to boot off the HDD. Seems your hard disk or at least its bootloader content is gone.

Just installed a fresh copy of win2003server on another hard disk on another machine, hooked it up to this machine, and it goes past the DMI pool message to Award Bios, Inc, stops, and the lower third of the screen goes white! That's as far as it goes. Do you think the mobo may be bad? I can't get it to boot to the floppy to rum amy troubleshooting software.
