I recently purchased a combo at fry's for a friend, alongside a retail 9800pro. So after I put everything together, I fired up the machine and nothing was posting. Just a blank screen.
So I decide to try another video card. An ATI 8500LE, and the ECS motherboard posted fine.
In addition, I try booting the 9800pro on my computer (MSI, AMD-based motherboard) and it runs fine.
What seems to be the problem here? Is there a compatibility issue with newer ATI video cards and ECS motherboards? What can I do to get by this problem... or is there something inherently wrong with the ATI?
