Just changed my mobo to 755-A2, and Athlon 64 3200+ CPU.

Plugged everything in (ATX power, 12V, IDEs, CPU fan Power lights etc) ... turned the computer on.
edit: HD, CDRW, DVD lights, keyboard lights came on.
Video card info displayed correctly.
Then it shows the Award BIOs thing, the type of Processor, and the Press DEL to go to setup at the bottom.
Then the amount of memory shows up with OK after it... and then nothing else happens. The screen stays that way, and pressing DEL at any point didn't take me to setup.

So now I'm at the library computer asking for help! :-( Thanks.

(I just searched and found a similar topic, LINK but don't know if that's going to work... will try the clear CMOS thing when I get back. But... how does putting the CMOS jumper to clear fix the problem?... I guess a better question is what was the problem.)

Is this the same hard drive, with the same installation of Windows? Not gonna work unless the previous board was the same chipset, or a chipset using the same drivers (particularly the IDE drivers).

Boot with your Windows CD and do a repair install.

Thanks... never knew that could have been a problem. After the HD install, I ran into more problem (old cards conflicting with XP or something)... anywho... it's all working now :-D Thanks!
