I just picked up a Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu CPU Cooler on sale. Zalman has the ECS 755-a2 listed as a compatible motherboard. Anyone install one of these fans on the 755-a2? Could the backplate that came with the motherboard be used or do I have to use the one provided by Zalman? Unfortunately other than specs, compatability and generic installion instructions the zalman site couldn't provide this answer. Thanks to all in advance.

Well I answered my own question. the Zalman fits in terms of size. The only problem is that you have to use the backplate that came with fan. The backplate on the ECS 755-A2 seems to be glued on not screwed on. I've tried everything short of breaking it off. It's stuck on there good. So I couldn't use the Zalman. I'll have to find a quiet fan that fits in the AMD cpu bracket. To add insult to injury the fan comes with adapters that allow it to fit in a standard P4 cpu bracket.
