Ummm that is not allowed. That is copyright crime.

So if I do some hunting and prove you have done this at least a couple times will you go away? Or request a self imposed ban?

I didnt think so.

I hope you have padding for when reality hits you, and another hobby for when you no longer shill for your current heroes.

Of course not but Republicans had seven years to fix something and all they did was break everything.

Me a shill, hahahahaha you're funny.

You bring up Republicans as the incumbents to a failed system, as if that matters to you. Will you vote for Republicans in 2012 when Democrats fail to fix things?

I can guarantee you they won?t fix:
In the past three months, Samuels has seen more clients in higher-paying jobs ? the $35,000 range ? line up for food.
and you can quote me on that. The system is broken and all they want to do is make it bigger and more bloated. When the solution is to grow government, the solution has already failed.

I am marking the start of this latest Recession as now so that Republicans can't say it didn't start under Bush like they tried to pin the last one on Bill Clinton

Here we see Dave admitting that he is only posting this because he wants to say that republicans started a recession. It has no basis in reality...it's just politics. You're getting sloppy, Dave.

Do you even know what a recession is?

Doesn't matter because as soon as it is declared a recession you guys will blame it on the Democrats.

I'm just pointing out and marking the downturn occured under the GOP leadership.

Of course you guys will also argue that Democrats took control of Congress in Nov 2006 but got you there becasue they have had zero control to do anything with the number mix.

This is all 110% Bush's fault.

If Democrats get the White House and full control of Congress like the Republicans had for seven years and the Dems make zero progress then absolutely I would consider it.

I wonder how many making $3k/month lining up at ood pantries are driving cars worth more than they should, have a tv bigger than they should, drink beer more than they should, have a cellphone costing more than they should, etc. Not all, but I bet your ass it's many.

Not to mention paying close to their rent/mortgage in minimum payments on credit debt. People are SO irresponsible with money. I think thats what you were implying though :) And of course with credit cards, I dont care WHAT the interest rate is...minimum payments will get it payed off in 10+ years. Assuming no new charges. People never learn.

We need to look beyond the current political system and have a third party take control. Otherwise all we're doing is chasing our tails in the same rut we?ve been running in for decades as inflation rises and people descend deeper into poverty.

I don?t know what the actual solution is, but I doubt either Republicans or Democrats will have the conviction to see one through. I would say they move too slowly, and/or spend too much time fighting amongst themselves.

Take P&N for example. How many posts come up with solutions compared to posts which blame the other side and disregard all responsibility for presenting a solution?

Gotta love the way we reward financial failure in the US.

I hold my tongue but see a bunch of Medicaid/Medicare patients get into brand new/a hell of a lot more expensive cars than I own when they leave my hospital.

I agree 100% Jask. The problem though is sooo many people somehow think the two current parties have a stranglehold on government. I dont understand why people dont understand they can clean house in ONE election. So many politicians talk about "ground roots". It's bullshit. People in this country need to start a ground roots drive to not elect some fringe Democrat or Republican, and instead vote for an independant, a green party, or whatever. It's really simple. It's not like if somehow people elect 300 independants (which there really arent that many to begin with, but thats another thread) the Dems and GOP that have been voted out are going to pitch a fit and refuse to leave.

This country has gotten exactly what the majority of America wants in the candidates the elect.

The third party you speak of is called "Revolution II".

Are you suggesting that the recession that started in 2000/2001 actually ended at some point?

I don't really care if he commented on the article or not, I thought it was worth reading. Perhaps economic issues will finally take a front seat to Iraq for the 2012 election, though it won't matter since any candidate with a chance of winning a nomination will be rotten.

Extra job doing what? If someone's earning $30,000/year, say, a near minimum wage job, the proceeds of which will be taxed at that person's highest marginal tax rate, probably isn't worth the time and effort. Now, if the guy could find extra work earning money at the rate he earns it at his day job, it might be worthwhile.

It's easy to say "get a second job", but you also need to consider the person's physical fitness, the strain his current job places on him and his family, the huge negative value of the inconvenience the job would create, and the reduced performance that the second job would cause to the first job.

Given infinite amounts of time and energy, people could work several jobs. However, we live in the real world where people only have so much physical energy and there are only 24 hours in a day and seven days in a week.

Do you really think the Democrats would have been any better? I don't think so. I don't think the Democrats are prepared to deal with the cold hard reality of global labor arbitrage, mass immigration, population explosion, and the poor having children they cannot afford any more than the Republicans are able to.

Unfortunately, until Americans choose to acknowledge reality and until they're ready to make the hard choices that will be needed to turn the country around, we'll only continue to descend towards third world nationhood. Because the amount of rationality that would be required to reverse course flies in the face of altruism, religious mysticism, and religiously-held free market dogma, I truly doubt that the nation can be saved.

Do you even know what a recession is?

Maybe the Republicans haven't started a recession, but what have they done to improve the nation's economic condition?

I also challenge the notion that the previous recession ended. Perhaps it ended on paper, but for tens of millions of Americans who suffered layoffs, unemployment, and mass underemployment, the reality is that the nation's job market has been continuously depressed for this entire decade so far.

Also, to the extent that the economy was doing well, it was a facade created by the housing bubble. Now that the bubble has finally burst we can all see how empty and baseless it was. I predict that the state of the nation's economy will only worsen.

Will you agree to a self imposed ban if I provide you with 10 allegations you've made with ZERO supporting evidence in the last 45 days?
