I live in New York City and know plenty of people who live on $10 an hour. It's called living more than 20 minutes outside of Manhattan and having roommates.

I can see a good portion of this incredible $10hr going to mass transit in New York but what is the mass transit situation like in Phoenix?

Its fine *shrug* A monthly unlimited pass is $34 for all of Maricopa county which includes probably 15 suburb cities.

And stop with your "live as the mexicans". a 3 bedroom house all sharing utilities is perfectly doable, and is the rule not the exception.

But of course if you actually did any research you would know that. But, as usual, you dont.

How many to a house? 10, 15, 20, 25 30?

Dude...do some research. I just did a quick Google search for Queens and there are many houses for rent at $1000-$1400/mo. How is that not doable by 3 people?

Not to mention the other 90% of the country. Get off this jag of trying to make the exception the rule. Youre just dead wrong.

Sounds like someones mommy and daddy took care of them till he was finally all on his own.

I did the 3 roomate thing when I was 19 and we all did fine. Sure we were not loaded enough to go by yacht's like some Democrats here, but we did fine until we were eligable for real jobs.

$10/hr = $400/wk = $1100/month net
Split the rent 3 ways and you have $500 for rent per person.
A person should be able to live on $600/month for food/clothing and maybe $200 for utilities at the most.

Actually its better than that. At that income his fed tax rate is 15% which would give him around $1500/mo take home. But in Dave's world somehow its not enough. He needs to wake up.

I posted FACTS. Something you seem to have no knowledge of.

I've proven someone making $10/hr is more than twice the poverty rate.
I've proven a group of 3 people can share living expenses, even in NYC.
I've proven you wrong, and all you can do is come up with one liners.

Go ahead and prove ME wrong, otherwise, STFU already. Oh and BTW its been weeks and you still havent answered my question: In YOUR opinion, what is a fair hourly wage, for a legal citizen of the USA, to make with a high school diploma, no training, and no college?

Who's posting FUD again?

Yes, I have been over a good portion of the country to see homeless people and the high gas prices.

I may not have personally visited the homes of the 40 million uninsured I sure have spoken to a goodly portion of my share.

No, Republicans control the Whitehouse so you have a lock on the corruption there.

10-8-2007Clinton: Trade deals should be rejudged

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton told union leaders and Iowa voters her economic leadership should be judged by how well the middle class fares ? and that trade agreements should be rejudged to see if they're helping or not.

With the presidents of four unions that are supporting her in the audience, Clinton tried Monday to address one of her biggest problems with labor ? her husband's signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

"I think it is time that we assess trade agreements every five years to make sure they're meeting their goals or to make adjustments if they are not," the New York senator said. "And we should start by doing that with NAFTA."

"I ask whether our middle class is expanding and getting ahead," she said. "Are we on the road to a more prosperous middle class or not?

The administration has failed that test. My administration will not."

Thats the problem right there. She is just the same as any other senator-bought and paid for. A mouthpiece. All promises and no action. Her voting record vs. her speeches proves it. And she will be held to that as well.

Hey, yall . . .

I'm not real excited about BOA shipping jobs to India, but I think it's a little disingenuous to say "North Carolina based U.S. companies roll up and ship jobs overseas" when North Carolina has lost over 250,000 manufacturing jobs in the last 10 or so years . . .
