This is Bush's Economic Policy?

The Country needs Jobs God dangit, not hand out checks.

These are not handout checks. These are refunds on taxes paid.
More accurately, they are loans for taxes paid. Lacking corresponding spending cuts, we will have to repay these "refunds" with interest.

A growing economy will likely offset these shortfalls. We are not even at historic high levels of debt to GDP ratio. That being said, there should have been spending cuts to go with the tax cuts.

Under Clinton...the Republicans liked to spend like crazy.

Under Bush....the sky's the limit.

No cost is too much to get relected.

Where the f*ck are all the jobs then? There are lots of folks who are happy just to get $25,000/year with a college degree, and you can't do a whole lot with that amount nowardays.

All I see is technology jobs going to India, manufacturing jobs going to China, and Americans mired working 50 hours a week in Walmart and other menial jobs.

I don't buy these growth #'s. In the next few years, there'll be less tax money because more people will be working lower paying jobs. Standards of living will fall accordingly.

Bush doesn't need to bribe any low-mid income Americans to win in '04. The election is already fixed, and even if 90% of American's actually "vote" for the Democratic or Libertarian candidate, Bush will win.

Or so I've heard, and it really doesn't sound that far-fetched any more.

it's stupid statistic. Just because GDP is higher, doesn't mean the economy is better. Economy is "better" when both GDP/Per capita/ AND JOB GROWTH is getting higher (and how about lowering that astronomicaly high trade defecit). Higher GDP with decreasing job market = 1 thing. The people who are still employed are being worked harder for less money, while people who has no job will do anything to get one. Just another good day for big corporate execs and politicians.
