This is true. You dad owes you nothing since he's apparently taking care of you.

Never said he owed me anything, I was just curious to know if I was personally getting anything.

I was just commenting on JS80's original post that said your dad owed you $300.

I found the website however since I heard conflicting things from co workers I thought I would ask ATOT because all members must have a law degree to post here right?

Or a certification of completion from 7-11 training class, as in your case.

Q: I know some people won?t get a stimulus payment. How do I know if I?m one of them?
A: You won?t get a stimulus payment in 2008, if any of the following apply to you:
* You can be claimed as a dependent on someone else?s return (whether or not you actually are claimed as a dependent on someone else's return). For example, this would include a child or student who can be claimed on a parent?s return. [Updated 4/15/08]

Yes I found that, however like I have stated my co workers were mentioning something about how their H&R rep told them that even though they were also claimed as a dependent that they would still get one. I don't have a H&R Rep sooo ya.

one is coming from the IRS (the people issuing the check) and one is coming from your uninformed co-worker but you still aren't really sure what is true. No wonder my order gets screwed up at the drive-thru...
